Skyllar, Practice Manager at UrgentVet Short Pump, brings 10 years of experience in the veterinary field, with a background in general practice and rescue medicine. Originally from Philadelphia, Mississippi, Skyllar has always shared a natural bond with animals and finds deep fulfillment in caring for them.
One of Skyllar’s earliest and most meaningful animal memories is riding his first horse and learning to build trust through patience and connection—an experience that helped shape his compassionate approach to animal care. That same sense of respect and understanding guides his leadership style today.
Outside of UrgentVet, Skyllar enjoys spending time outdoors, playing video games, and reading. He lives with his fiancé, Brianna, along with a full house of pets: Mako the cattle dog, Levi the Labradoodle, and three cats—Maggie (a dilute calico domestic shorthair), Margo (a gray domestic medium hair), and Moonpie (a black domestic shorthair).
