Thomas Scott Brigman brings a unique and well-rounded background to his role as Practice Manager. Originally from Taylorsville, North Carolina, Thomas developed a love for animals early in life, inspired by his mother, who worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician. That early influence helped shape his path into veterinary medicine, where he has been working since 2019.
Before entering the veterinary field, Thomas spent 20 years as a chef – an experience that helped him develop strong leadership, organization, and people skills that he now applies in his role at UrgentVet. He has experience in both general practice and emergency medicine, giving him a broad understanding of patient care and clinic operations.
At home, Thomas lives with his wife, their two sons, and a wide variety of animals as part of their hobby farm. While he says he has too many pets to list, it’s clear that his passion for animals extends far beyond the workplace. One of his favorite memories is watching his youngest son form a special bond with Hawk, their German Shepherd.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time caring for his farm and all the animals that come with it. Thomas leads the team at UrgentVet Gastonia where they treat minor injuries and illnesses in cats and dogs.
