David brings more than six years of veterinary leadership experience to UrgentVet Crestview, with a background in both nonprofit and private practice, primarily in general practice with additional experience in diagnostic imaging. Before entering the veterinary field, David proudly served nine years in the U.S. Army, where he had the opportunity to meet people from around the world and develop the leadership skills he carries into his role today.

Originally from Michigan, David never imagined a career in veterinary medicine growing up. After transitioning from the military, his wife—who is a veterinarian—played a significant role in introducing him to the profession. What began as an unexpected path quickly became a fulfilling career centered around supporting veterinary teams, pets, and the families who love them.

One of David’s most meaningful experiences in veterinary medicine was meeting Amelia, a dog rescued by the Houston SPCA after surviving severe animal cruelty. Watching Amelia recover, maintain her loving spirit, and eventually find a caring forever home remains one of his favorite memories and a reminder of the resilience of animals.

David earned both his undergraduate degree and his MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, trying new experiences, and spending as much time as possible with his wife and their energetic six-year-old son.

At home, David shares life with two Border Collies—Riley, his first official pet, and Riley’s daughter, Audi—as well as Pocket, the family’s rescued cat. Pocket earned his unique name because David’s wife cared for him as a bottle baby, carrying him in her pocket throughout the workday to ensure he never missed a feeding.

A fun fact about David? While his wife rescued Pocket, the cat ultimately decided David was his favorite person—unless it’s mealtime!
