Bill is the Practice Manager at UrgentVet Cumming and brings 15 years of diverse experience in the veterinary field, including nonprofit work, shelter medicine, general practice, theriogenology, and dentistry. Having grown up across Ohio, Michigan, and Maine, Bill developed a deep appreciation for animals and the meaningful role they play in people’s lives.
Bill’s path into veterinary medicine was shaped by a powerful childhood experience—watching a veterinarian care for his family and their beloved dog during a difficult illness. That moment revealed that veterinary care is about more than medicine; it’s about compassion, presence, and supporting families through emotional moments. This philosophy continues to guide Bill’s approach to leadership and patient care.
One of Bill’s most cherished memories involves his dog, Rumor, whose quiet devotion brought comfort during his mother’s time in hospice. That profound bond reinforced Bill’s belief in the healing power of animals and solidified his lifelong commitment to caring for them and the people who love them.
Outside of UrgentVet, Bill enjoys traveling, discovering new foods and experiences, cooking (with at least two new recipes each week), volunteering with animal rescues, and spending peaceful mornings with coffee and his animals. He shares his home with his partner of 21 years, Rob, and an extraordinary animal family that includes three French Bulldogs—Logan, Charlie, and Fester—two Amazon parrots, Kiwi and Guapo, forty chickens (including Chicki Minaj and Egghead), three fainting goats—Ouiser, Truvy, and Clairee—and an ever-present foster pet.
Bill is proud to bring his compassion, leadership, and deep respect for the human–animal bond to the UrgentVet Cumming community, where both pets and their people are treated with care, empathy, and understanding.
