Andrea brings 28 years of experience in veterinary medicine to UrgentVet Katy, with a diverse background spanning emergency, specialty, general practice, exotics, shelter medicine, and Eastern medicine. Her lifelong passion for animals, combined with decades of hands-on experience, allows her to provide compassionate leadership while supporting both pets and the people who care for them.
From an early age, Andrea knew animals would always be a central part of her life. As a child and growing up in Houston, she was obsessed with stuffed animals and often brought home injured or stray animals, determined to help or care for them. That natural instinct to protect and heal animals grew into a lifelong career in veterinary medicine.
One of Andrea’s most treasured memories is taking walks through the park with her soul dog, Mallory. Although Mallory passed away last year, the time they shared together remains incredibly special and continues to inspire Andrea’s love for the human-animal bond.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys exploring nature with her Miniature Australian Shepherd, Sidney, hiking, playing video games, reading, traveling to new places, and pursuing nature photography as a creative hobby.
Andrea lives with her wife and their lively family of pets, including Sidney, nine cats—Poe, Raven, Chucky, Meyers, Krueger, Solo, Chewie, Thor, and Loki—and Parker, a bearded dragon.
A fun fact about Andrea? She combines two of her greatest passions by photographing nature and animals whenever she has the opportunity.
