Claire grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and has always had a deep connection with animals. As a child, Claire was passionate about horses, which led her to move to Colorado to work in barns and for various trainers. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic caused her to lose her job in the barns, she transitioned into the veterinary field. Claire found a Specialty and Emergency Vet Office that was looking for a CSR, and she quickly discovered her true calling in animal care. The rest, as they say, is history.
With 5 years of experience in the veterinary field, Claire brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her role at UrgentVet Lemay. She has worked in Emergency and Specialty care, as well as General Practice (GP), providing her with a well-rounded understanding of veterinary medicine.
One of Claire’s most memorable moments with an animal is when she found her first cat, Goose. While working at a college barn, Claire came across a stray cat that followed her home. She tried to bring the cat to a shelter, but they couldn’t take her in, so Goose became part of her family. This heartwarming experience solidified Claire’s love for animals and her commitment to their care.
In addition to her work at UrgentVet, Claire enjoys a variety of hobbies. She collects Pokémon cards, bakes and cooks, knits, and loves playing video games with friends. She also has a competitive side—during her college years, Claire competed in ISHA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) and was a collegiate cutting judging champion.
At home, Claire shares her life with her husband, Nick, and their two cats, Stinky (a 4-year-old DSH Torti) and Goose (a 6-year-old DSH Torti). Together, they form a close-knit family that values their pets and the bond they share.
Claire’s passion for animals, combined with her experience in the veterinary field, makes her an exceptional Practice Manager at UrgentVet Lemay. She is dedicated to ensuring that every pet and their family receive the best care possible, and she continues to grow and learn in her role, bringing her heart and expertise to the UrgentVet team.
