Madeline has always had a deep love for animals that began in her childhood in Ohio. From a young age, she was fascinated by animals, often pretending to be a veterinarian with her stuffed animals. However, it wasn’t until she became a dog mom that she realized just how much she wanted to learn about animal care. When she got her first dog, she found herself panicking over every little thing that happened to her puppy, leading her to pursue a deeper understanding of veterinary medicine.
With over 10 years of experience in the veterinary field, Madeline brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her role at UrgentVet Plantation. She has worked in various areas of the field, including General Practice (GP), Emergency care, pet insurance, pet nutrition, and dog training. This diverse background has helped her develop a well-rounded approach to animal care, always striving to provide the best support for pets and their families.
One of Madeline’s fondest memories with an animal is when she was 5 years old and found her family’s first kitten in a box outside her dance studio. There were six adorable kittens, all about 4 weeks old, and she still remembers how cute and fluffy they were. This moment marked the beginning of her lifelong love for animals.
Outside of her work at UrgentVet, Madeline enjoys training with her German Shepherd, Horus. She is passionate about dog training and enjoys the bond it creates between her and her pets. She shares her home with her husband, their two dogs—Cleopatra, a Labrador Retriever, and Horus, a German Shepherd—and two cats—Pharaoh, a Domestic Shorthair, and Anubis, a Domestic Longhair. All their pets have names inspired by Egyptian mythology, and they certainly live up to the personalities behind their names.
Madeline’s background in various areas of the veterinary field, combined with her love for animals, makes her an excellent Practice Manager at UrgentVet Plantation. She is committed to providing compassionate care, making sure every pet feels comfortable and loved during their visit. With her experience, dedication, and passion for animal welfare, Madeline is a true asset to the UrgentVet team.
