John Jennings, originally from Rock Hill, SC, developed a passion for both medicine and animals from a young age. His earliest memories involve playing on his grandparents’ farm, where the presence of farm animals sparked his intrigue and set the stage for a future in veterinary care.
A pivotal moment in John’s life occurred when he adopted his beloved companion, Zoey, a 3-year-old Doberman Pinscher. The bond formed on that day remains one of his favorite memories with an animal, highlighting the joy and fulfillment that pets bring to our lives.
John pursued his education at Clemson, graduating with a degree in Animal Science. With a solid academic foundation, he embarked on a fulfilling journey in the veterinary field, accumulating a decade of experience since the age of 15 and a half. His diverse background includes roles in grooming, boarding, and general practice, with a recent venture into urgent care.
Outside of his professional commitments at UrgentVet, John leads an active lifestyle. He frequents the gym, engages in walks and runs with Zoey, and finds relaxation in reading books, watching TV, and spending quality time with his family.
Currently on the path to becoming a licensed vet tech, John’s commitment to continuous learning reflects his dedication to providing the best care for animals. His expertise, coupled with a genuine love for pets, positions John as a valuable asset to both UrgentVet and the community of pet parents seeking reliable and compassionate veterinary care.
