Alexandra brings eight years of veterinary experience to UrgentVet Naperville, with a career that began in kennel care and progressed through roles as a veterinary assistant, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), and Hospital Operations Manager. Her experience includes primarily general practice, with additional time spent in emergency medicine.
Originally from Joliet, Illinois, Alexandra has always had a deep connection with animals. As a child, she wanted her pets to be part of everything she did—even sharing breakfast with her pet bird. As soon as she was old enough, she began working in kennels, setting the foundation for a rewarding career in veterinary medicine.
One of Alexandra’s favorite memories is helping a frightened, neglected German Shepherd who arrived as an impound. Through patience and consistency, she earned the dog’s trust and watched her personality blossom before she was eventually adopted by a loving family—a moment that continues to inspire her passion for animal care.
Alexandra completed her training as an Animal Care Specialist at the United States Army Medical Department Center & School in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Alejandro, and their two daughters, Rosalina and Luxanna. She also loves playing golf, relaxing with Nintendo Switch games, and caring for the family’s six pets.
Her four-legged family includes German Shepherds Whiskey and Diablo, Reaper the shepherd mix, Felix the orange tabby, Specter the Sphynx, and Ace the tuxedo cat.
