Alivia Losso

Alivia brings nearly a decade of experience and a deep passion for veterinary medicine to her role as Practice Manager. Originally from Freeport, Illinois, Alivia discovered her calling in the veterinary field during an internship between her junior and senior year of college. What started as an experience she wasn’t sure she would enjoy quickly turned into a lifelong career path.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Over the years, Alivia has gained diverse experience working in general practice, a hybrid walk-in clinic handling urgent and emergent cases, and now urgent care—giving her a well-rounded perspective on patient and client care.

At home, Alivia stays busy with her husband Don, their two young children, Lucas and Charlotte, and a lively group of pets. Their household includes Lola, a Shiba Inu, and two cats, Sushi and Hades. One of her favorite memories is the special bond she shares with Hades, her black cat, who she swears she can summon from across the room with just a look.

Outside of work, Alivia enjoys reading, crafting, playing video and board games, and spending quality time with her family. She also proudly admits to having an obsession with Dachshunds and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, which future pet parents will likely appreciate right away.

Alivia leads the team at UrgentVet Joliet where they treat minor injuries and illnesses in cats and dogs.
