Lauren McQueary brings over a decade of experience and a deep love for both animals and people to her role as Practice Manager. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Lauren’s journey into veterinary medicine wasn’t planned—but it quickly became her passion. After high school, she found an opportunity in the field and discovered a love for the animals, the clients, and the science behind veterinary care. From that point on, she was committed to learning and growing within the industry.

Lauren has built a diverse background across multiple areas of veterinary medicine, including laboratory and hematology work, feline specialty care, service and seeing-eye dog specialties, boarding, and general practice. This wide range of experience allows her to bring a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective to patient care and clinic leadership.

One of Lauren’s most meaningful animal memories is finding her “soul cat,” Maggie. While volunteering at an animal shelter at 18, a small black cat caught her attention by reaching out from her kennel. Despite never planning to adopt a cat, Lauren felt an instant connection. Maggie chose her that day, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Lauren earned her Commercial/Fine Arts Certification from CCBC/BCCTC in Monaca, Pennsylvania, and she continues to bring creativity and curiosity into both her professional and personal life. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, learning about different cultures and languages, and spending time with her two cats, Maggie and Onions. She’s also a fan of all things related to Anthony Bourdain and loves connecting with people no matter where she is.

Known for her warm personality and genuine love for every cat she meets, Lauren is passionate about creating positive experiences for both pets and their owners while fostering a welcoming, supportive clinic environment. She leads the team at UrgentVet Belterra where they treat minor injuries and illnesses in cats and dogs.
