Amanda brings 10 years of veterinary experience to UrgentVet Winston-Salem, with a career rooted in general practice. She is passionate about building strong relationships with both pets and their families and finds fulfillment in helping animals feel safe, healthy, and cared for during every visit.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Amanda has always had a deep love for animals. Growing up with pets helped her recognize the important role veterinary medicine plays in the lives of both animals and the people who love them. She was naturally drawn to caring for sick, injured, or frightened animals, and that passion grew into a rewarding career in veterinary medicine.
One of Amanda’s favorite memories is spending quiet moments cuddling on the couch with her beloved dog, Shay. Whether greeting her at the door or providing comfort during stressful times, Shay reminded Amanda of the incredible bond between people and their pets—a connection that continues to inspire her every day.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys embracing her inner nerd. She loves all things Disney and Harry Potter, especially diving into the stories and lore behind her favorite movies. She’s also an avid music fan with an appreciation for nearly every genre and enjoys collecting Loungefly backpacks, Minnie Mouse ears, and K-pop photocards.
Amanda lives with her husband and their growing family of pets, including three dogs—Shay, an American Staffordshire Terrier; Rhea, a Husky/Pit Bull mix; and Gunner, an American Pit Bull Terrier. Their rescued cat, Nugget, recently surprised them with three kittens: McNugget, Tender, and BigMac.
A fun fact about Amanda? Pit Bulls are her favorite breed, so if one walks through the clinic doors, there’s a good chance she’ll be the first one over to say hello. As an added bonus, all three of her dogs happen to be gray—she definitely has a type!
