Calvin has 15 years of experience in the veterinary field ranging in Emergency, Urgent Care and General Practice settings including work with pocket pets and exotics. Calvin has a particular soft spot for senior pets and ensures they receive the extra care and attention they need.

Growing up in Dallas, Calvin developed a deep love for animals early on, surrounded by pets at home and his uncle’s diverse menagerie, which included cats, dogs, snakes, parrots, cockatoos, turtles and koi fish. His passion for animal care was solidified during his time volunteering at a local animal clinic in middle and high school, where he helped care for a paraplegic cat named Scooter. That experience of advocating for animals in need became a turning point for Calvin, inspiring him to dedicate himself to helping those that rely on us.

Outside of work, Calvin enjoys camping, hiking, astronomy and astrophotography, often visiting certified Dark Sky Places. He loves reading sci-fi and fantasy books, and when he’s at home, he enjoys curling up with his black lab, reading a book by the fireplace. Calvin lives with his wife and their two dogs: Kora, a 1-year-old Rottweiler/Heeler mix, and Lisa, a 16-year-old Shih Tzu mix.

Calvin leads the team at UrgentVet Mckinney where they treat minor injuries and illnesses in cats and dogs.
