A Dallas, Texas native, Blaine has spent their entire life drawn to the care and well-being of animals. That passion began early, at just four years old, Blaine was using a toy medical kit to “examine” every dog in the house, already showing signs of the compassionate caregiver they’d grow up to become.
With a decade of experience in the veterinary field, Blaine has worked across grooming, boarding, general practice, and now urgent care. Their well-rounded background and deep understanding of the pet care journey make them a strong and empathetic leader at UrgentVet Richardson.
One of Blaine’s most cherished memories is of their heart dog, Willow, who was a constant companion and “co-worker” during their early days in the pet industry. Willow’s quiet presence under Blaine’s desk was a source of comfort and motivation, and her memory continues to inspire Blaine’s approach to patient care.
Outside of the clinic, Blaine enjoys reading, cooking, and relaxing with TV—Bob’s Burgers is their go-to comfort show. They live with their partner, two very different cats—Major Margaret “Hotlips” Houlihan (the “good cat”) and Bellatrix Norris (the “bad cat”)—and Spike, a charismatic bearded dragon. Blaine also has a growing interest in dog agility and sports training, a passion that perfectly blends their love of animals and structured problem-solving.
Dedicated, thoughtful, and deeply passionate about veterinary medicine, Blaine leads their team with heart and humor, always striving to make every pet and pet parent feel safe, supported, and seen.
