Holly Swing

Holly, originally from Big Piney, Wyoming, knew at the early age of seven she had a calling to work with animals. Her Grandma had a boxer with cancer in her spine causing her to not be able to walk well anymore. Holly challenged herself to learn how to help her walk with a towel under her hips. She wanted to help this boxer in any way possible.

When it came time for school, Holly attended the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver where not long after, she began her first job in the industry at a general practice veterinary hospital. Her favorite memory here was her first time assisting in a English Bulldog C-section. During the consultation, the Bulldog mama got extremely stressed and ended up going into labor at their hospital. Holly and her team quickly reacted and helped deliver the puppies. Holly recalls it being the most rewarding thing she has ever done.

Outside of the clinic, Holly spends time with her family – her husband, son, their two dogs (Chester – a Jack Russell mix and Boomer – a black lab/German Shepherd mix), several fish, and their Iguana named Rex. They enjoy everything that almost every other Colorado resident does, being outside in nature, whether it is camping, hiking, fishing, or hunting!

With 10 years of experience, Holly now leads the team at UrgentVet – Englewood and helping the pets of the community feel better.
