Ebony Bartolomeo

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Ebony began her journey in medicine following a family tradition – both of her parents are nurses and her brother is a respiratory therapist. But during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ebony discovered a new path in veterinary medicine, and it quickly became a passion she never expected but now couldn’t imagine living without.

Ebony earned her Associate of Applied Sciences degree from the Community College of Philadelphia and has since gained four years of experience in the veterinary field, primarily as a Client Service Representative and CSR Supervisor in general practice. One of her proudest and most personal milestones came when she overcame a lifelong fear of cats -thanks to a memorable rescue of two kittens stuck in a window well. What began as an act of courage has blossomed into a deep bond: the once-scary kittens now happily sleep on her head!

At home, Ebony lives with her roommate and their shared clowder of five cats, including her own trio that are made up of two domestic medium hair cats named Abu and Iago, and her beloved 17-year-old, cross-eyed domestic short hair gray girl, Fifi. When she’s not at the clinic, Ebony enjoys reading, crocheting, dancing, and recently began exploring pottery through an eight-week beginner course.

Ebony’s warmth, resilience, and unexpected journey into vet med are just a few of the many qualities that make her such a valued leader at UrgentVet Hatfield.
