Born and raised in Madisonville, Texas, Jessica’s journey has taken her to many places. Her passion for veterinary medicine ignited during her service as a military police officer in the US Navy, where she worked alongside military working dogs. This experience deepened her love for animals and set her on a path in veterinary care.
One of Jessica’s fondest memories is of a particularly cuddly Bullmastiff named Steve. Steve’s affectionate nature inspired her to adopt her own English Mastiff, Freya, further fueling her passion for the field.
With 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Jessica has worked across general practice, emergency care, and urgent care settings.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys live music, exploring food trucks, and participating in various sports including football, softball, and volleyball. She lives with her boyfriend, Luke, their two dogs—Maverick, a 10-year-old Jack Russell Mix, and Freya, an 8-year-old English Mastiff—and two cats, Arrow and Oliver. Jessica is also eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby boy in September 2024.
A travel enthusiast, Jessica has visited 48 states and 5 countries, and has lived in 8 different states, always taking the time to pet a stray cat in each location. Her diverse experiences and passion for animals contribute to leading the team of the UrgentVet Oak Creek.
