Jonathan De Leon

Originally from Austin, Texas, Jonathan made a bold career pivot into veterinary medicine just before the COVID-19 pandemic and hasn’t looked back since. What started as a leap of faith into a client service role quickly grew into a deep passion for the field. Over the past six years, Jonathan has gained experience across general practice, ICU/specialty care, surgery, and now urgent care, bringing a unique perspective and a strong foundation to his leadership role at UrgentVet Crestview.

Jonathan is currently pursuing his degree at Austin Community College, with plans to become a Physician Assistant. His commitment to both human and animal care speaks volumes about his compassion, drive, and love for helping others.

One of Jonathan’s favorite memories is with Macchiato, his now 12-year-old long-haired dachshund. Macchiato originally belonged to Jonathan’s cousin, but on the very first night he came home, he curled up next to Jonathan and slept by his side. Years later, Macchiato became his, solidifying a lifelong bond. Today, Macchiato shares a home with Coffee Bean, a spunky 3-year-old Boston Terrier.

Outside of the clinic, Jonathan is a true enthusiast, whether it’s collecting Dragon Ball Z action figures, hunting for the next great pair of sneakers, tuning in to WWE (even if his wife reminds him it’s “not real”), or spending hours watching football every fall. He’s also a proud Christmas fanatic and a former culinary pro who once worked for celebrity chef Kristen Kish.

Jonathan has been married to his wife for two years, and together they’re raising their 1½-year-old daughter, Ivy, who lights up their world.

Bringing both heart and hustle to his role as Practice Manager of UrgentVet Crestview, Jonathan is passionate about building trust with pet parents and leading a team that treats every patient like family.
