Janette Blanco is an animal lover who has been working in and around the veterinary field since the age of 14. She has a Degree in pre-veterinary medicine and she is a Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA).
Her passion for all animals led her to volunteer for non-profit rescues, where she loved to adopt relinquished geriatric pets so they could live out their days in her home. Janette brings a wealth of experience to UrgentVet, including 6 years in a general practice setting and 5 years in emergency veterinary medicine. Throughout her career in pet medicine, she’s had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of animals. She’s done everything from rehabilitating horses and livestock, to nursing opossums and raccoons to microchipping snakes.
When she’s not on the job providing care for animals, you can find her at home relaxing with her two kitties or outside enjoying nature — at the beach, on a nature trail, in a kayak or on a paddleboard.
