Dr. Susan Mango
Susan Mango has always loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian since a child. There was always a house full of pets to care for. After a rewarding management career, she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at the University of Florida in 2006. Dr. Mango had always imagined working with all types of small animals, but in her clinical year, she discovered just how amazing cats truly were and how much they liked her. She believes all animals deserve the best medical care and to be treated with kindness and compassion.
Dr. Mango shares her home with several rescue cats, one of whom is paralyzed from a dog attack as a kitten. His name is Roosevelt and together they visit assisted living facilities in his role as a therapy cat. In her free time, she helps families who have disabled cats with proper care and enrichment so they live the best possible life.

Amanda Ziegler, Clinic Manager
Amanda has spent 17 years in the veterinary industry, her first job was caring for wildlife, and working in the kennel for a Humane Society in Ohio. After moving to Florida, she was able to build her skills as a Veterinary Technician working in many different settings including shelter medicine, general practice and emergency/critical care. Finding this passion as a technician led to wanting to make a difference in her co-workers lives as well as the animals, and she decided to transition into management. Amanda has been in management for several years and joined our UrgentVet team as the Clinic Manager this year, opening our first Florida location. She is looking forward to helping pets, in the Westchase and Tampa Bay community.
Amanda spends her free time enjoying the outdoors including photography, kayaking, and snorkeling. She also enjoys time with her family and pets at home or at live events. She has 2 dogs (Rhea, and Adelaide) and 3 cats (Kratos, Adam, and Pi).
Dealing with an illness or injury can be nerve-wracking for you and your pet. That’s why we’ve designed our clinics with a soothing and calming experience in mind to relieve that extra stress.
