Elizabeth Luria, DVM
Dr. Elizabeth Luria graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Since then she has focused on developing her skills in small animal emergency practice, where she has truly found her passion. She is particularly interested in point of care ultrasound and its practical applications in the emergency setting.
Both Dr. Luria and her husband Isaac, a human anesthesiologist, completed all of their studies at the University of Florida and have made their permanent home in Gainesville. When not at work, Dr. Luria is usually outside spending time with her horse or exploring the springs in North Central Florida by kayak. The Lurias share their home with two dogs (a rottweiler mix named Clementine, and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Rush), four cats (Squish, Toast, Buffbean, and Gloria), and a rabbit named Asphalt.

Jenn Harder, Clinic Manager
Born and raised in New Jersey, Jenn moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida (Go Gators!). After spending fifteen years working in general practice as an assistant, technician, and inventory manager, she moved into veterinary distribution and gained her wholesale pharmacy licenses in Florida and California. But working with animals and in a clinical setting never left her heart and she is thrilled to join the UrgentVet team at their newest location.
Her special interests include animal behavior, feline medicine, and making the visit to the Veterinarian as stress free as possible, for both the pet and their human.
In her free time, Jenn loves to garden, read, and paddle board the Santa Fe river. She loves spending any day off with her friends and family enjoying the Florida sunshine. She is guardian to a 15 y/o Shepherd mix named Foster, a 16 y/o grey Tabby named Yump – plus numerous other felines and more chickens than she will publicly admit to.
Dealing with an illness or injury can be nerve-wracking for you and your pet. That’s why we’ve designed our clinics with a soothing and calming experience in mind to relieve that extra stress.
