Our UrgentVet mission is simple: We want to be here for your pet when your primary care vet can’t. Our goal is to provide quick, convenient, affordable care 365 days a year. Think of us as urgent care for pets in Brandon, Florida. We’ll be there when you need us most.
Tamlyn graduated from the University of Oregon earning a Bachelors in Environmental Studies with a minor in Philosophy. After graduation she went into non-profit sector working on habitat restoration. Realizing her true passion was with animals Tamlyn started working at a small animal practice as a Veterinary Technician in Oregon. Since moving to Florida she knew she wanted to do more with Veterinary Medicine and looked into leadership roles. She is so happy to be apart of the UrgentVet team as Clinic Manager. In her free time you can find her kayaking, reading or exploring Disney. She has 1 dog (PaulPaul), 2 cats (Fish and Frank) and 1 Green Cheek Conure(Pika).
Chelsie Price, DVM
Dr. Chelsie Price graduated from the University of South Florida in 2015 where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Public Health. While earning her degree, she gained experience working as a small animal veterinary technician. She then earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. During her time at UF, she focused her interests in small animal emergency medicine and earned a certificate in farm animal medicine. Upon graduation, she returned to the Tampa Bay area to begin her career with UrgentVet. In her spare time, Dr. Price enjoys biking, kayaking, spending time with her family, and spoiling her pets. She is a proud fur-mom of two dogs (Ruger, Riley) and three cats (Milli, Germ, Oliver).
Glenn Cherry, DVM
Dr. Glenn Cherry is a practicing veterinarian in the Tampa Bay area specializing in small animal medicine. He enjoys general practice but also works in urgent care and emergency practice.
Dr. Cherry is the CEO of CFCG, LLC and Redemption Strategies Broadcasting LLC which owns The Daytona Times, The Florida Courier newspapers in Florida; WCSZ 94.9 FM/1070AM radio stations in Greenville, SC; WPUL 100.7FM/1590AM radio station in Daytona Beach, Fl and 92.1 FM in Hendersonville, NC respectively.
He served as a political appointee in the Clinton Administration from 1992-1997 at USDA and also worked a six-month assignment in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel as an Executive Search Manager.
Dr. Cherry served on active duty as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force, at the rank of Captain from 1984-1988, as Chief of Public Health Service at bases in Soesterburg, The Netherlands, and Izmir, Turkey. In November 1991, Dr. Cherry received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force Reserve.
He received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. He earned the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama in 1984.
Dr. Cherry is married to Dr. Valerie Rawls Cherry, a clinical psychologist and they have a son, Jamal, who is an engineer attending Harvard Business School. He will be working in the energy investment industry after graduation in 2021.
