Mya Weiss

Mya has a lifelong passion for animals that began in her childhood in Fort Myers, FL. Known for bringing home stray animals and caring for them, Mya’s love for pets has only deepened over the years. With about five years of experience in the veterinary field, she has dedicated herself to helping animals feel better and thrive.

One of Mya’s most cherished memories is the day she adopted her cat, Opie. While helping her best friend find a cat at a local rescue, Opie crawled into her lap and refused to leave her side. Since then, he has been her loyal companion, always by her side.

At UrgentVet Naples, where she has worked since its opening, Mya emphasizes fear-free medicine and advocates for the mental well-being of pets. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys tending to her succulent garden and spending time with her brother and their three cats—Opie, Bandit, and Scout. Scout holds a special place in Mya’s heart; she was found abandoned in the parking lot of UrgentVet and quickly became part of the family.

Mya finds immense joy in her work, knowing she is making a positive impact in the lives of pets and their owners every day. She leads the team at UrgentVet Naples where they treat non-life-threatening emergencies in cats and dogs.
