Kristin, originally from West Sacramento California, brings 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine to her role as Practice Manager. Kristin’s passion was deeply influenced by her grandmother, who would nurse wounded and abandoned animals back to health. Their family also adopted the oldest and sickest dogs from the shelters to give them a loving home for the rest of their lives. This early exposure to animal care ignited Kristin’s passion for the veterinary field.
One of her most memorable moments with an animal is when she first met her dog, Sega, a Jack Russell mix, who was rescued from a hoarding situation. After nursing him back to health, she taught him to drink water on his own. His reaction, running to her for comfort after falling face-first into the bowl, solidified their bond and made her realize Sega would be a permanent part of her life.
Outside of work, Kristin enjoys video games, arts and crafts, thrifting, and watching movies and TV shows. She shares her home with her four beloved pets: Sega, Atari (Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix), Tink (Terrier mix), and April (Saint Bernard). Kristin has worked in a variety of veterinary settings, including Emergency, Patient Care, Critical Care, General Practice, and Shelter Medicine, always focusing on providing compassionate care.
Kristin leads the team at UrgentVet Wheat Ridge where they treat minor injuries and illnesses in cats and dogs.
