Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kim moved to Taylorsville, Utah, at age 16. Her lifelong aspiration to work in veterinary medicine was initially set aside to focus on being a mom, but she pursued her passion by becoming a veterinary assistant, allowing her to stay actively involved in the field.
One of Kim’s fondest memories is of her beloved Boston Terrier, Pip Squeak, who has been a cherished companion for the past five years. Her extensive experience spans 20 years in veterinary care, including roles at six general practice clinics, ranging from veterinary assistant to practice manager.
Kim earned her Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Veterinary Technology from Broadview University in West Jordan, Utah. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, playing games, and just relaxing together. Kim shares her home with her partner and three of her four children, her oldest having graduated and moved out.
Her lively household includes a variety of pets: Boston Terriers Pip Squeak, Peppa Pig, and Tanksta the Gangsta; a Chihuahua named Groot; a Beagle named Max; four cats—Tony, Bean, Blue, and Donkey Kong; three geckos—Larry, Mo, and Curly; and a Bearded Dragon named Merlin.
In addition to her veterinary career, Kim is a fan of Dr. Pepper, sour candy, and reality TV, reflecting her fun and vibrant personality.
