Erin, the Practice Manager at UrgentVet Newton, has a deep-rooted love for animals that started in her childhood in New Hampshire. From an early age, Erin was captivated by animals, and her journey into the veterinary field began in the world of dog rescue. She served as an Adoptions Director for a non-profit, helping countless dogs find their forever homes. After several years in rescue, Erin felt drawn to the medical side of animal care and transitioned into a role at an ER/Specialty hospital. Over the years, Erin has developed her skills and continues to grow in her veterinary career, now applying her expertise as a dedicated leader at UrgentVet Newton.
With nine years of experience in various areas of the veterinary field, including Rescue, ER/ICU, Specialty, and General Practice (GP), Erin brings a well-rounded perspective to her role as Practice Manager. Her experience in emergency and specialty care has instilled in her a passion for providing exceptional care to all animals, especially those that are nervous or anxious.
One of Erin’s most cherished memories with an animal is the first time she rode a horse. This experience not only fueled her love for animals but also sparked a lifelong connection with them. Outside of her work at UrgentVet, Erin enjoys participating in living history events, reading, and riding horses. She also shares her home with her dog Georgie, a Pittie mix, and two cats, Evie and Gander, who are beloved members of her family.
Erin’s favorite part of her job is working with nervous pets. She loves giving them extra time and attention to ensure their visit is as stress-free as possible, making their experience at UrgentVet a positive one. With her compassionate approach and extensive background in animal care, Erin is committed to providing the highest level of service to both pets and their families at UrgentVet Newton.
