Emily Wenzel

Emily Wenzel was born in raised in Richmond, VA. Since she was a little girl, she remembers always having a passion and interest for working with animals. Starting at 16 years old, Emily began working with them at a local general practice and has not stopped working with furry friends since.
Emily received her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology from Blue Ridge Community College in 2014. She has worked in a variety of veterinary settings from a general practice, emergency and critical care, medical and radiation oncology, and urgent care. She has a passion for teaching where she is now excited to continue that by leading her team at UrgentVet – Carytown. Emily has also created a support staff training program that is award winning.
As a practice manager, Emily aspires to help her team develop through training and education where they can provide the upmost, compassionate care for the pets of Carytown, Virginia.
When Emily is not at UrgentVet Carytown, she enjoys spending time with her family, including two daughters, a bonus son, and her three dogs (Oki – Yorkshire Terrier, Dinah – Jack Russell/Beagle mix, and Patrick – Labrador Retriever Mix).
Emily is looking forward to serving and building a bond with the Richmond area community and their furry family members!
