[Tampa, Florida] [October 2024] — UrgentVet, which specializes in dedicated urgent-care veterinary hospitals, is excited to announce the opening of its newest clinic in Manchester, New Hampshire located at 2305 Brown Avenue, Suite 2. This expansion will provide pet owners with an affordable alternative to the emergency veterinarian when their pet needs care for a non-life-threatening condition.
“We are happy to provide veterinary care after-hours, on weekends, and on holidays for pets experiencing mild injuries and illnesses in the Boston area,” said Stephanie Smith, DVM, UrgentVet vice president of medicine. “Our approach allows pet parents to receive prompt care for their pet in a convenient and affordable manner.”
UrgentVet’s innovative operational design bridges routine veterinary visits and emergency care by treating non-emergent conditions such as fever, gastrointestinal upset, minor wounds and lacerations, and performing euthanasia.
Pet owners can schedule a preferred arrival time online or simply walk in to receive compassionate, high-quality care from experienced and committed veterinary professionals.
The clinic is equipped with an in-house laboratory and advanced imaging equipment, including digital X-ray and FAST scan ultrasound technology, to provide the highest quality of care.
UrgentVet Manchester is staffed with Fear-Free Certified® Professionals, making the pet’s veterinary experience as calm and stress-free as possible. The clinic features species-specific exam rooms, calming pheromone diffusers, non-slip floors, and soothing lighting to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress. The pet enclosures are made from tempered glass from Casco and are 70% quieter than metal cages.
UrgentVet is committed to collaborating with neighborhood primary care veterinarians, and about 90% of pets treated at UrgentVet facilities are referred to their primary veterinarian for follow-up care. The primary vet always receives a detailed discharge letter and records to ensure the pet receives the necessary ongoing care. “We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with general practice veterinarians in the communities we serve,” Smith said. “We look forward to partnering with practices in the Boston area to help provide care when dogs and cats need it most.”
