At Your Service
Phalan Bukowski
Practice Manager
Phalan Bukowski is originally from Crawford, TX – a small town outside of Waco. She has been an animal lover for all of her life – growing up, she had dogs, cats, and donkeys. She also cared for neighbors’ pets when they were away.
She was drawn to animals and the veterinary field from a very young age. At 13, Phalan began working at a mixed animal practice as a volunteer and was later hired as a kennel technician. She also worked with agility dogs at a boarding and training facility.
After high school, Phalan attended Tarleton State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science with a concentration in animal production and a minor in business. Following graduation, she worked as a veterinary technician in a small animal general practice clinic. That experience helped her recognize her true passion: serving as an advocate for animals. Her favorite part of working in that position was being the voice for animals in her care and helping them feel better.
Phalan returned to Tarleton State University to pursue a master’s degree in management with a concentration in management in leadership. This additional education coupled with her extensive veterinary knowledge provides her necessary skills for leading a team effectively and compassionately, ensuring her team serves pets and their families with the upmost care, and encouraging her team to pursue their own passions.
When she’s not at UrgentVet in her Practice Manager role, she loves to spend time with her family as well as watching her friends and family race at the dirt tracks throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Phalan is honored to serve pets and pet parents of Lakewood-Dallas and points beyond. She looks forward to meeting you and your pet.
